Do your beauty career dreams keep edging further from reality? Juggling life and study can be tricky – so we’ve designed our courses to fit in and around your busy schedule.
If work, parenting, high school routines or just life in general is limiting your time, you’ll be happy to know our courses only require you on campus 1-2 days per week (across six Queensland locations). The remainder of your study can be completed remotely in your own time – so there’s no need to put your life on hold to start a new career.
We’re proud to nab the title of Queensland’s Small Training Provider of the Year and champion a flexible study-life balance that’s pioneering greater opportunities for students across the state. Our qualifications can launch your beauty industry career in just 12-18 months, so get yourself strapped in and let’s start your dream job sooner!
Juggling work and study
For many students, working while studying isn’t just a choice; it’s a necessity. With the cost of living on the rise, generating income while learning the ropes is a reality for most. But here’s some good news: the beauty industry in Australia is in it’s hype girl era right now, with the market expected to grow by 2.41% annually. Plus, with the rise of social media, beauty is more accessible and popular than ever.
So how do you set yourself up for a rewarding and profitable career in the industry?
Getting yourself qualified is essential. And, at Demi International, we’re leading the way in reducing time on campus and flexible study. We’re here to help you balance responsibilities and graduate as a qualified professional – without compromising your lifestyle.
Still at school? Get your diploma while you wait
If you’re interested in a beauty career but you’re still in high school, there’s no need to wait until you finish. Our VET (vocational and education training) while at school program offers Queensland students in years 11 and 12 the opportunity to gain a Certificate or Diploma-level qualification while completing their Certificate of Education.
You can study our courses one day per week on campus, fitting perfectly into your school schedule. Our on-campus programs prepare you for real-world scenarios by giving you hands-on access to our professional training facilities and machinery, salon-quality products and client booking systems. This is a great headstart for students who want to upskill in their chosen field or get a feel for a beauty industry career before leaving school.
Choose from courses like a Certificate III Barbering or Hairdressing, a Diploma of Screen & Media Makeup or a Part-Time Diploma of Beauty Therapy.
The Demi difference
Demi International’s courses are crafted with your lifestyle in mind. Whether you’re working, parenting or wrapping up high school, we have options for you. Our on-campus time is shorter than other providers, giving you more room to breathe and balance your commitments—or Netflix and chill #youdoyou

Student success stories
Let’s hear it from Bella Rose, a proud graduate who turned her Demi education into a thriving career:
“Studying at Demi International Beauty Academy was one of the best things I ever did for myself. I obtained a Diploma in Screen and Media in 2018 alongside some brilliant students and an amazing, informative and friendly teacher. Within 3 months I was already getting paid as a Makeup Artist working for myself and after 4 months I was hired as a HMUA for an award-winning photographic studio. Two weeks after completing my diploma I was selected as the Makeup Director for Aura Makeup Australia and will be taking charge of the Sunshine Coast Fashion Festival. I am thrilled with my outcome and I owe it all to Demi International!”
