I have been hairdressing for over thirty years and still love this industry. In this time I have been able to diversify my hairdressing skills to many areas in the industry and be proactive in setting different goals and achieving them, from managing salons, fashion weeks, hair expos, repping, and in salon training.
This lead to education for me where I can put my experience and energy into training and guiding those new to the trade which was always my ultimate goal. I am excited to share all the little tips and tricks to my students that I have been blessed to learn and experience along the way, and I can’t wait to help prepare all new students to this amazing industry for the workplace.
My career in the beauty industry all started with my passion for skin, body and hair care which lead into a business venture in natural cosmetic products. Working at Wild Rose Hair, Body and Soul for the past 10 years has allowed me to follow my love for client services. There is nothing more rewarding than making someone feel good from the inside out.
Doing facials, massages and running day spas are just a few of my favourite things. I also freelance doing hair and makeup for special occasions.
One of the greatest things I love about being a beauty therapist is you never get bored with all the different skills you have. I thoroughly enjoy being an educator; mentoring and nurturing students on their learning journeys.
I’ve had a passion for art for as long as I can remember. In my six years in makeup I’ve been inspired by some incredible artists including – Nicole Thompson (pinkiiieee), Rae Morris, Danessa Myricks, and Mia Connor. They’ve led me to focus on special occasion makeup and editorial makeup.
Now one of the most rewarding aspects of my career is passing on my knowledge and seeing students grow into amazing artists.
Debbie enjoys assisting and supporting students wanting to learn and excel in their chosen vocation. She believes life is for living, and learning is just the process that helps to maximise that potential. Her teaching background is vase due to her ongoing formal tertiary study and her life learning experiences. As students often like to know where work life is taking them, she also offers guidance on how they can build on their learnt skills and maximise their future work potential.
Debbie hold numerous qualifications include a Diploma of Remedial Massage, Bachelor of Education in Adult Education and Certificate IV Master Personal Trainer. She also holds Nutrition Coaching and Myofascial Cupping and Movement Screening certificates.
In addition, Debbie is a loving mother, animal lover and a keen beach goer. Until an injury in 2022 that left her with a broken ankle, she was a regular surfer. Now she enjoys hiking, swimming, the gym and a good social outing.

Our Gold Coast Beauty School takes enrolments every quarter. We follow the same terms as the Qld Public School System. This means you have normal school holiday breaks and start fresh for a new term. You can enrol in January, April, July, and October.
